A 28-room boutique hotel in Goa had been re-ordering linen labels every 8 months from a different supplier each time. Result: four slightly different teals across their towels, robes and bedlinen — guests noticed.
Industrial laundry uses bleach + 90°C wash — labels disintegrate. Brand teal needed an exact thread match (the hotel's signature shade). And the GM wanted a standing restock slot — every 6 months, same spec, no re-pitching.
Built a damask weave on industrial-grade base for bleach + heat resistance. Tuned the teal across 4 sample rounds (Pantone match). Locked the recipe to the property's account so every future restock pulls the exact same spec.
Bleach + 90°C wash safe.
Identical across every restock.
Recipe on file, no re-briefing.
Two restocks in, zero shade drift. The hotel's group expanded to a second property — labels for the new build pulled from the same recipe. Onboarding time: 0.
"Four restocks, four different teals. We were ready to give up on consistent branding. They locked the colour and we haven't talked about it since."
