Woven Labels

Custom Woven Labels — manufacturer in India.

One hub to compare every woven clothing label we make. Designs are interlaced from dyed yarn on a jacquard loom — the colour is the thread, so a Labelwala woven label cannot fade, peel or wash off. Damask, standard garment-weave and satin-weave on one page, RFID-ready, built to outlast the garment. From ₹1.40 per label, 7–10 day dispatch from Ahmedabad.

Custom woven labels — fade-proof jacquard-woven brand labels manufactured in India
Weave Variants

Three weaves, one decision.

A short decision aid before you order. Each variant runs on the same jacquard loom — only the thread density and surface finish change, and with them the touch, the budget and the brand signal.

Damask Woven Labels

Pick damask when your neck label is the brand statement on premium fashion, denim, leatherwear or a heritage / craft drop. The highest thread density we run — holds hairline type, micro icons and intricate logo work crisply. The default choice when the label itself is a design element.

Standard Garment-Woven Labels

Pick standard when you want an all-purpose mid-density woven neck or inner label for general fashion garments — tees, shirts, kurtas, joggers and casualwear. Same fade-proof yarn build as damask, slightly lower density and lower per-piece cost. The workhorse of our loom floor.

Satin-Weave Woven Labels

Pick satin-weave when the label sits directly against skin — kidswear, intimates, premium fashion neck tags. A smooth, lightly lustrous front face with the soft hand of satin, still woven (not printed) so the colour stays through every wash. Reproduces simple two-colour logos and clean type beautifully.

Why Woven

Why brands choose woven labels.

Six honest reasons a woven label is the right call instead of printed — at the hub level, before you choose the variant.

Colour that cannot fade

Each colour in the design is a separate dyed yarn interlaced into the weave — not an ink layer sitting on top. There is nothing to crack, peel or sun-bleach off; the label fades only if the yarn does.

Tactile, substantial feel

A woven label sits flatter when folded and weighs more between the fingers than any print. That depth is the unspoken signal a customer reads the moment they pick the garment off the rack.

Heritage & craft positioning

Jacquard weaving is a 200-year-old technique; the pattern is built into the cloth, not stuck on later. For brands selling craft, slow fashion or heritage stories in 2026, the label has to read the same way the garment does.

Fine detail down to 0.5 mm

Tight thread spacing reproduces hairline serifs, monogram intersections and tiny icon work down to roughly half a millimetre — the kind of brand-mark fidelity a printed substrate can blur and a screen-print cannot reach at all.

100+ wash-cycle durability

Routinely holds shape and colour through more than 100 standard home wash cycles — and onward through hot industrial laundering for uniform, hospitality and hotel-linen use where prints would have cracked long ago.

RFID-ready smart labels

An RFID or NFC chip can be encapsulated inside the label during weaving so it survives wash, dry and resale. Lets premium and D2C brands authenticate, fight counterfeits and unlock tap-to-verify experiences without an extra hangtag.

How It Works

From artwork to loom.

Four steps from your file to a finished, QC-photographed batch. The same person handles you from quote to courier.

  1. 01

    Share your artwork

Vector is strongly preferred (AI, EPS, PDF, SVG) — the loom maps every line to a thread path, and vector keeps that mapping crisp. Raster files (PSD, PNG, JPG) are accepted at 300 DPI minimum but may need a redraw round. Drop the file on WhatsApp with quantity and variant; we reply with a precise quote inside 2 hours.

  2. 02

    Digital proof + yarn-colour swatch

A to-scale mockup of the woven label lands on WhatsApp alongside the physical yarn-colour swatch numbers we’ll load on the loom — so the green you approve on screen is the exact green that comes off the machine. One round of edits is included.

  3. 03

    Jacquard set-up, weaving & ultrasonic-cut finishing

The artwork is converted to a jacquard loom programme, threads are loaded and the run is woven at our Ahmedabad facility. Each label is then ultrasonic-cut or heat-cut on the edges so it cannot fray, and folded (end-fold, centre-fold or mitre) to your spec.

  4. 04

    QC photos & pan-India dispatch

Every batch is photographed against your approved proof and the shots are sent to you on WhatsApp before the box leaves the floor. Couriered with tracking, typically 2–4 days inside India. Defective pieces replaced free within 7 days of delivery.

Where woven labels shine.

Six places a woven label earns its keep over a printed one. If your brief looks like any of these, you’re on the right page.

Premium fashion neck labels

Inside the collar of mid- and premium-price fashion — the first signal a customer reads about how much care went into the garment. A damask or satin-weave neck label is the most common woven order we run.

Heritage & craft brand labels

Handloom, khadi, slow-fashion, ethnic and boutique drops where the brand story is craft. The jacquard weave reads honest the moment a customer touches it — print on the same garment feels borrowed.

See ethnic-wear use cases

Denim hip-tags & back patches

The back-waist or hip-pocket label on jeans, jackets and workwear — exposed to sun, wash and rivet abrasion. A high-density woven weave is the only label that holds detail and colour through that lifecycle.

Hangtag stitched-in cards

Woven labels stitched onto card hangtags, gift-set ribbons or pouch fronts so the brand mark travels with the packaging long after it’s unboxed. Premium D2C brands use it instead of a printed sticker.

Luxury accessories

Handbags, wallets, leather goods, scarves and footwear linings — the label sits on hardware-adjacent stitching and needs to age with the leather, not crack before it. Damask is the default here.

Uniform & livery labels

School, hospital, hospitality, security and corporate uniforms washed at 60–70 °C with bleach. Woven labels outlast the institutional wash where print would have cracked inside a term.

Common Questions

Woven label FAQs.

Quick answers to the questions Indian fashion brands ask us most. Still stuck? WhatsApp us.

How do I decide between damask, standard and satin-weave woven labels?

Pick damask when you need the highest thread density for fine type, micro icons or a heritage / luxury feel at the neck. Pick standard garment-weave when the label is an all-purpose mid-density mark across general fashion garments — the workhorse for tees, shirts and casualwear. Pick satin-weave when you want a smooth, lightly lustrous front face for kidswear, intimates or premium-fashion neck tags sitting against skin.

What's the difference between woven labels and printed labels?

Woven labels are made of coloured yarn interlaced on a jacquard loom — the colour is the thread, not an ink layer on top. Printed labels are blank fabric with ink jetted or pressed onto the surface. Woven feels more substantial, holds detail in type and icons indefinitely and cannot fade or peel; printed reproduces gradients, photography and unlimited colour but sits on the fabric rather than in it. The side-by-side table below summarises the trade-offs, or see our printed labels hub.

Will a woven label ever fade or wash off?

No. Because the design is woven from dyed polyester, cotton or rayon yarn — not printed — the colour is structural and cannot be washed off, scratched off or sun-faded the way ink can. Our jacquard-woven labels routinely hold through 100+ home-wash cycles and outlast the garment in standard apparel use. Hot industrial laundering at 60–70 °C with bleach (uniform, hotel-linen, hospital) is also well within range.

How many colours can a woven label have?

Up to 8 yarn colours per label across damask, standard and satin-weave variants. The loom interlaces one yarn per colour; more colours means a denser, slightly more expensive label. For gradients, photographs or unlimited colour, switch to printed labels.

What is the MOQ for custom woven labels?

No fixed minimum. We run woven labels from 100 pieces upwards, since each design needs a small jacquard loom programme. First-drop brands typically order 200–500; established brands re-order in 2,000+ batches at the lower per-piece rate. There is a one-time loom-set-up fee on the first run of each design only — re-orders skip it.

Can woven labels include RFID tags or NFC chips?

Yes — RFID and NFC chips can be embedded inside the woven label during weaving so the antenna and chip become part of the garment, not a removable tag. Used by premium and D2C brands for resale authentication, anti-counterfeit verification and post-purchase digital experiences a customer can tap with a smartphone. Available on damask and standard bases on request — share quantity on WhatsApp for a custom quote.
